  • NAGW Award (2007) – Winner of the best small population government website. Marietta does a fantastic job on keeping its citizens informed.
  • All-America City Award (2006) – This award was granted to Marietta as they showed reductions in crime, and they have a strong community approach to ordinances and problem-solving.
  • Trendsetter Award (2005) – Recipient of the award at the 47th Georgia Mayor’s Association.
  • Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award (2005)
    The City of Marietta’s Geographic Information Services Department was awarded the ‘Special Achievement in GIS Award.’
  • International Association of Chiefs of Police/iXP (IACP/iXP) Award (2004)
    The City of Marietta was presented the award for Innovation in Information Technology. 2004 marks the first year that this award was presented making the City of Marietta the first recipient of the award.
  • City of Excellence Award (2002) – Marietta was judged by a 12 member panel on 14 separate grading sections on issues such as administration, citizen participation, community and economic development, cultural arts, education, fiscal management, infrastructure, intergovernmental cooperation, planning, public safety, recreation and leisure services, social services and technology.
